NGC Aerospace is seeking a Software Developer – Automation & Infrastructure (DevOps) and IT Lead to play a key role within our engineering team. Your new day-to-day
As the first person to hold this position, your mission will be to automate our software processes, maintain network infrastructure, support the software development team, and lead various IT and cybersecurity initiatives. Working within a small company environment, you will have the opportunity to build a role that reflects your strengths and interests while addressing the growing needs of our development team, with support from both internal and external specialists.

- Introduce software automation tools and maintain the existing infrastructure (servers, virtual machines, simulators, test benches);
- Ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments;
- Continuously develop tools that improve our software processes, reducing development and integration time;
- Create and deploy containers to support application operation and maintenance;
- Regularly monitor and maintain development servers and applications to ensure optimal performance;
- Act as the company's internal IT expert by leading IT improvement projects and coordinating interventions with specialized vendors and contractors;
- Drive cybersecurity enhancement initiatives;
- Support the development team with projects and initiatives related to your areas of expertise.

Required profile
The essentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Minimum of two years of experience in software development, system administration, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps (internships considered);
- Strong knowledge of version control systems, infrastructure management, and containerization technologies (Docker, virtual machines);
- Proficiency with Azure, Linux, AWS, and Windows Server environments;
- Confidence in implementing new procedures and introducing new tools;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and solid technical capabilities;
- Interest in a multifaceted role requiring a wide range of responsibilities;
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with autonomy and commitment;
- Natural leadership skills to drive transformation initiatives and support employees through change.
Assets
- Experience in a scientific, embedded software, or aerospace development environment;
- Experience working in a small or medium-sized business (SME) or multidisciplinary team environment;
- Knowledge of security requirements in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or transportation;
- Strong software development skills that enable support through code reviews, application deployments, automation scripting, and troubleshooting development and integration environments. This would be considered a significant asset.
