NGC Aerospace is seeking an aerospace project manager. In this hybrid position, combining technical responsibilities and project management, you will be primarily responsible for the analysis, design, and validation of embedded guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) software and project management in the space or aviation field, including coordinating deliverables, establishing budgets, and maintaining contact with the client.
Your new day-to-day
- Plan key project elements (budget, time allocated, deadlines, etc.) and ensure accurate follow-up;
- Assign the necessary personnel to carry out the project in collaboration with technical managers;
- Coordinate and follow up on tasks with the project's technical staff, explain them, provide support, and answer questions;
- Interact with the client on the technical and programmatic aspects of the project (ask questions, answer questions, present results).
- Represent NGC to various companies from the drafting of the proposal to the delivery of project deliverables;
- Prepare technical documents and present results to clients and partners;
- Act as supervisor of technical employees (monthly follow-up, performance evaluation, recommendations for professional development) in collaboration with management;
- Participate, depending on the project and the expertise required, in the execution of technical tasks such as:
- Design and implementation of CNC and machine vision software.
- Analysis and validation using numerical simulations, dynamic tests in a controlled environment, and flight tests.
- Modeling of complex dynamic systems.
- Development of simulators.
- Implementation of software in a real-time environment.

Required profile
To excel in this position, mastery of technical elements related to guidance, navigation, and control, as well as the ability to manage high-tech projects, is essential. With this in mind, here are the key qualities we are looking for in our future project manager:
The essentials
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, software, or aerospace engineering, or equivalent;
- Fluency in written and spoken English (as we operate in a bilingual environment with many international clients and collaborators);
- Five years of experience in GNC systems development;
- Extensive experience in project management, task and team coordination, and customer follow-up in the aerospace field;
- Effective communication with colleagues, customers, and partners;
- Organizational skills, autonomy, ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks from different projects at the same time.
Assets
- Master's or PhD in electrical, mechanical, computer, software, or aerospace engineering, or equivalent;
- Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: control theory, navigation theory, Kalman filters, image processing, dynamic modeling;
- Proficiency in the MATLAB/Simulink environment, including Embedded Coder;
- Experience with software development, validation, and verification processes and tools;
- Experience with real-time operating systems;
- Experience and proficiency in C/C++, Python, C#, and Java programming;
- Knowledge and experience of software quality best practices (RTCA DO-178B/C and MISRA compliance).
