NGC Aerospace is looking for a Mechatronics Technician to be part of its dynamic team to contribute on the integration, validation, and deployment of aerospace systems. Such systems, including remotely piloted aircraft (drone), robot-on-rail, hardware-in-the-loop simulator and different kind of sensor and actuator systems, are used by NGC to prototype and validate guidance, navigation, and control technologies.

Your new day-to-day

  • Modification, assembly, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems of drone platform
  • Support to drone flight tests including ground control station operation, management of the equipment and of the battery packs, maintenance of the flight test logs, management of the recording of video footage, installation, or removal of payloads in accordance with predefined test plan
  • Modification, assembly, and maintenance of hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems
  • Support to hardware-in-the-loop simulation tests, management and maintenance of the equipment and reporting of the test results in accordance with test plan and pass/fail criteria
  • Setup of Information systems such as desktop and laptop computer and network routers and switches (cabled/wireless)
  • Maintenance, improvement, and inventory management of the Workshop
  • Setup of test sites (build/assemble/move components at the test sites)
  • Operation and maintenance of robot-on-rail system (in-house training)

Required profile

The essentials
  • Technical DEC in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, or the equivalent
  • Knowledge of French, written and spoken
  • Functional knowledge of English, written and spoken
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, customers, and partners
  • Organizational skills, autonomy, ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to be involved in several tasks stemming from different projects simultaneously
  • Computer and/or networking skills
